We vacation in ocean city every summer and come to Atlantic City not for anything other than some of the best southern cuisine on the northeast. Friendly service,food with a side of love! And great prices for such comforting,amazing food! Highly recommended.three words..smothered pork chops!!!
Visiting Atlantic City & ate here for breakfast and MAAAANNN THIS FOOD WAS SO RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS!!! ERRRYTHING was seasoned to perfection! Even the grits was seasoned creamy and delicious! This is the first I've ordered grits out & didn't have to add anything to it. Now let's talk about those grilled cornbread wedges!! That is hands down the best cornbread I've ever had in my whole life!! The next time I'm in Atlantic City this will be my first stop. Everyone was so friendly & treated us like family they hadn't seen in a while! THE BEST!
This meal was so good it took me back to my mom's kitchen as a child. Sharice the manager(I hope I spelled her name right) was a perfect professional and helpful with my questions as it was my husband and I first time at the restaurant as we are in Atlantic City for my birthday celebration driving from Ct. I must say the service she provided kicked off my birthday trip perfectly. I will recommend this establishment to all my friends and family. Keep up the amazing work thank you for bringing back a childhood memory.
This food was sooooo good!! Everything was homemade or so it tasted that way... it was seasoned down!!! The food was just a 5/5 for me! I ordered the smothered turkey chops with candy yams and green beans, with a piece of cornbread and this plate was heavy! A small little issue with this order, as i was given the wrong order. Thankfully i didn't leave and i checked my bag before heading back to my hotel. (They only do take out after a certain time. I came around 730pm). They took the food back and immediately got to fixing my order. It took a little while for them to make the food which i wasn't mad at because it was fresh! I love that. The green beans were fresh, and made with i think turkey meat which made them even more flavorful. Them yams taste like thanksgiving dinner good!! Oh man! The second plate was the buffalo chicken salad and a side of catfish nuggets. The catfish nuggets were recommended by the cashier and she ain't lie! Get the catfish nuggets with the bang bang sauce! It was absolutely delicious! This food was finger licking good!! I also saw that diners drivers and dives came here which made me realize i picked the right spot cuz the food was on point ! We got some cakes a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and a chocolate mousse cake. All so good!! If you're in ac and you don't wanna hit the restaurants in the hotels, this is a great place to start. It's reasonably priced, and the food is well worth it. The staff was nice, the manager or owner, she apologized so much for the mess up, which i really appreciated and gave me so much free cornbread became the first order was missing it. The cornbread was so good and perfect! Individually wrapped. So so good!! Try this place if you're in ac, check it out! It won't disappoint!
Made it a point to stop at Kelsey and Kim's after reading so many positive reviews, and must say they weren't wrong. We ordered multiple things off the menu. All of them were exceptional. My favorite was the turkey chops. All of the sides were on point also. The portions are well worth the price, especially considering the cost of eating out these days. This might honestly be the best soul food restaurant in New Jersey.
THIS FOOD SLAPS!!!! I was annoyed coming here and finding out that on a Friday night that dining in ended at like 3pm. So I had to take my food to go. But boy, oh boy! Once I was able to settle in and get started on my food it felt like I was at a cookout where the older aunts and uncles stayed up all night prepping the food for the event. I had Mac n cheese with sweet potatoes and ribs. The Mac n cheese was good, the sweet potatoes were good, those ribs were GOOD! My friend had the fried chicken Mac n cheese and collards it all was GOOD! If you want some food that puts you in a mental space of family. Food that's gonna make you have the itis. Food that's gonna make you want to smoke a cigarettes after even if you don't smoke lol This is the place!!!
